Boo Lab — Company Overview
Boo Lab — Company Overview
What We Do
Boo Lab, Inc. is the company behind Boo, an AI teammate designed for businesses. Boo lives inside Slack and Microsoft Teams as a full member of the team — not a chatbot bolted onto the side, but a colleague that participates in channels, remembers conversations, and gets smarter over time.
Mission
Boo Lab exists to solve a fundamental problem: companies lose institutional knowledge every time someone leaves, changes roles, or simply forgets. Boo is the brain your company builds together. Every conversation, decision, and lesson learned makes the organization smarter.
Tagline: Meet your newest teammate. One hire. Entire Company.
Core Philosophy
Not a tool. A teammate.
Boo Lab's product philosophy rests on a few key principles:
- Trust is earned, not configured — Boo starts read-only and progressively earns more autonomy
- Knowledge retention — People leave; knowledge doesn't have to
- Skills that breathe your org — context-specific capabilities, not generic marketplace plugins
- Progressive autonomy — explicit permissions at every level, no surprises
Business Model
Boo uses usage-based pricing. There are no fixed tiers listed publicly — customers contact hello@boolab.ai for details. Plan management (upgrades, downgrades, cancellations) happens in the dashboard under Settings → Billing.

Competitive Positioning
Boo Lab differentiates from other AI tools on six axes:
| Other AI Tools | Boo |
|---|---|
| You build the agent | Shows up knowing how to work |
| One user, one machine | One hire, every department |
| Starts from zero every conversation | Remembers everything, forever |
| Generic marketplace skills | Skills crafted from your org's context |
| You maintain it | Gets smarter on its own |
| Feels like software | Feels like a person |
The primary tracked competitor is Viktor (viktor.com), which positions as "Hire an AI Employee" with a manual-teaching approach. Boo's differentiator is auto-learning versus Viktor's explicit-teaching model. See the Competitive Intelligence page for details.
